Fête de la Musique, also known as World Music Day, will be celebrated on 27 June and at Centre Square Mall, Rajaji Jn, Kochi.
Fête de la Musiquecelebrates music which is a unifying force, a thread which connects all irrespective of any difference in race, color, accent or creed and brings together world to a musical platform. Its prime objective is to promote music (in all its diversities) and musicians (be it amateur or professional).
The idea of the World Music Day was conceptualized first in France and introduced in 1982 in Paris. Ever since, the festival has become an international phenomenon, celebrated on the same day, in more than 460 cities, in 110 countries.
In its 34th edition, Alliance Française de Trivandrum is offering an open stage to all budding music enthusiasts. This stage is open to all kinds of musical expressions: solo,band, classical, contemporary, rock, jazz, reggae…and gives an opportunity to showcase musical talents.
