Focus: Sustainable living

Visiting from Senegal, West Africa, Atelier Koé will present their approach to conceiving, designing and constructing environmentally respectful earth buildings. By taking inspiration from the past and using vernacular materials applied to modern needs, they hope to bring the merits of building with earth back into the architectural dialogue. And they insist that sustainable thinking helps create sustainable relationships– to each other and to the local environment.
