Alliance Française de Trivandrum in will present ‘Sojourn…’ : A travelogue with paint brush by T R Rajesh from 3- 12 April at Art Gallery, Alliance Française de Trivandrum.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Sri T.P. Sreenivasan @ 5.30pm on 3 April @ Art gallery, Alliance Française de Trivandrum.

‘Sojourn’ is an ensemble of studies inspired by the journeys in search of the elements of nature.  The water colours blend and mix to paint rustic landscapes and make everyday moments special and a part of evergreen memories.  His signature is in creating forms and frames from the open but very often common seascapes of life.

T R Rajesh paints, illustrates and pens stories for the young.

Rajesh graduated with a Second rank in Painting from the College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram.  He has also secured the Highly Commented Certificate from the Kerala Lalitha Kala Academy.  From 1984 to 1993 he was a recipient of CCRT’s National Scholarship for Painting.  In 1983 he won the Raja Ravi Varma Gold Medal.

He has authored three books for children.  His book ‘Upside down’ won the State award for Children’s Literature from the Kerala State Institute of Children’s Literature.

T R Rajesh has three Solo exhibitions to his credit.  Other major exhibitions include Reflections (2002), Rainbow (2010) and Reminiscence (2011).

‘Sojourn -a travelogue with paint brush’, is his fourth solo exhibition.
