Bonjour India, Festival of France in India, is back.

After the successful first edition of Bonjour India (2009-2010) and Namaste France, the Festival of India in France, which soon followed in Paris, the Institut Français en Inde and the French Embassy in India, in association with the Alliance Française India network and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), will unveil the second edition of Bonjour India in January.

From Jaipur to Kolkata, Delhi to Trivandrum, via Mumbai, Chandigarh, Nasik and several others, a total of sixteen cities will play host to a variety of outstanding cultural events. These will encompass the entire gamut of people-to-people exchanges between India and France: art, literature, cinema, education, performing arts, gastronomy.

This is also an opportunity to discover and rediscover France and to take an artistic journey linking India and France.

In Trivandrum, Alliance française de Trivandrum is hosting a whole spectrum of people-to-people cultural exchanges: literature, gastronomy, music, education and cinema.

Bonjour India in Trivandrum commences with a discernible literary presence: Kenizé Mourad, followed by a French Bistro week, a music concert and Cinema

28 January, 6.00pm: An evening with Kenizé Mourad; on the occasion of the launch of English edition of Kenizé Mourad’s latest novel “In the City of Gold and Silver”. @Alliance Française de Trivandrum.

5- 10 February: French Bistro; an occasion to savour and enjoy gastronomical delights of French Bistro with French Chef Stéphane Mathonneau.  @ Vivanta By Taj Trivandrum.

17 February, 6.30pm: Vendeurs d’Enclumes; Rock Concert @ Nishagandhi

2 March, 10.00am-4.00pm: French Studies Day; An open day expounding opportunities of higher studies in France. @Alliance Française de Trivandrum.

9 March, 6.00pm: An evening with Short films; screening of a selection of French short films. @ Open air auditorium, Vyloppilli Samskriti Bhavan
