La Féline, a French Pop Band will perform at Vasco da Gama Square, Fort Kochi

On the occasion of her fourth, just released, yet critically acclaimed, album « Tarbes », the French songwriter singer, guitarist and bassist La Féline (Agnès Gayraud) will be touring the Alliances Françaises network in December.
The album was named “Tarbes”, after the name of the city where Agnès Gayraud was born in the South of France and where she lived until her teenagerhood. She has written both a portrait of a city and reminiscent songs of the time when she lived there, at the foot of the Pyrénées mountains. While singing in French, and for one song, in Occitanian, she articulates the folk spirit of the melancholy of the origins and the contemporary reflection on what it is to leave one’s small town to go to the big city.

In addition to the concerts, Agnès Gayraud will take part in round tables and public talks based on her book “Dialectic of Pop”, a philosophical essay on the history and nature of recorded popular music.
