Yes, Alliance francaise is under the authority of the French Embassy in India and Fondation Alliance francaise represented by the DGAF (Délégation Générale de l’Alliance Française d’Inde et du Nepal), which coordinates and runs the existing network of Alliances françaises in India and Nepal, both for its teaching and cultural activities.
14 Alliances francaises are located in India and (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Goa, Hyderabad, Karikal, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Pondicherry, Pune and Trivandrum) and 1 in Nepal, in Katmandou. - Who certify the certificates?
Alliance Française network is the Official Center for the following French Exams and Certifications:
– DELF/DALF – following the national calendar decided by the French Embassy – Institut Français en Inde
– TCF – depending of your Alliance Française schedule
– TCFQ – depending of your Alliance Française schedule
– TEF – depending of your Alliance Française schedule
– TEFaQ – depending of your Alliance Française schedule
– DFP B2 and DFP C1 – depending of your Alliance Française schedule
They are official diplomas issued by the French Ministry of Education and Economy to certify your command of the French language. - Can join directly to the higher level (A2/B1/B2) without doing the first level?
The DELF/DALF etc are independent diplomas. The candidate may thus directly register for the examination of their choice.

Yes. DELF and DALF receive the recognition enjoyed by all official qualifications awarded by the French Ministry of Education. These certificates have LIFE TIME VALIDITY - What is TCF?
The TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) is the French language test awarded by the French Ministry of Education. The TCF is a standardized, graded and calibrated test designed using an extremely rigorous method that makes it a genuine measuring instrument, whose results are consistent.
The marks are valid for 2 years from the date on which you took the test. The end date of the validity period is shown on the certificate issued to the candidate.

The TEF – Test d’Evaluation de Français is designed to assess the level of French language of people who are not native French speakers. It is useful if you need to evaluate your French skills for Canadian Immigration, French Universities or for work. The certificate sent to you is valid for one year.

The TEFaQ is a specific version of the Test d’Evaluation de Français (TEF) which has been elaborated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris Ile-de-France (CCI Paris Ile-de-France) based on the request of the Ministry of Immigration and Cultural Communities of Québec (MICC) to assess French language competency in those wishing to emigrate to Québec.
The TEFaQ is composed of a listening comprehension module and an oral expression module. You must take both to complete your test.

Alliance Française de Trivandrum offers a translation and interpreting service geared to provide solutions to your French and English language barriers. All translations get certified for the French Embassy and consular services.
