Fête de la photo: A Photo Festival in the Public Space celebrates throughout India the great diversity and dynamism of modern-day photography and its various forms of evolution. Today photography has become a universal language and is practised under many forms: as an art, as a hobby and as a social activity, thus making it one of the most popular art form which is accessible to one and all, be it as a photographer or as a appreciator of photography.
Alliance Française de Trivandrum will organize the Kerala edition of Fête de la Photo in Trivandrum from 5- 12 February in association with Directorate of museum and zoo and Kerala Travels.
The venues are: Museum band stand and hoarding in Vellayambalam Jn and Art Gallery, Alliance Française de Trivandrum.
The festival will have a series of photo exhibitions, on different themes: Astrophotography, Macrophotography and Earth is a playground, the contribution from Trivandrum to the world photo competition by the same name.
Astrophotography by Laurent Laveder, Ajay Talwar and Thierry Legault will be exhibited at the Museum Band stand.
Macrophotography by David Chambon will be exhibited at a hoarding in Vellayambalam Jn.
Earth is a playground, exhibition of entries from Trivandrum in the world photo competition, will be held at the Art Gallery, Alliance Française de Trivandrum.
There will be a presentation on photojournalism by Rakesh Nair and on amateur photography by Ratheesh Sundaram at 6.00pm, 5 March. @ Alliance Française de Trivandrum. This interactive session is a platform to discuss photography for those passionate about photography.
