French-Indian cooperation: The example of fighting against climate change (Conference)

Alliance Française Trivandrum is happy to announce a conference about sustainability and climate change on Wednesday January 31, 11 am, with  Mrs. Lise Talbot Barré, Consul General of France in Pondicherry and Chennai as Guest of Honor.

We are expecting you to share this special event and a moment with the Consul General.

The conference, in partnership with the NGO SWIM, will take you from a global perspective (what is the current situation throughout the world?) to a local one, focusing on the example of Kerala.  Our top-speakers CMA Nayar, Dr. KV Thomas, and Dr. Salini VS are all highly qualified in the matter, and able to show you that varied actors tackle climate change and sustainability issues: from the government to NGO or inhabitants of the cities, steps are taken to face the biggest challenge of our time.

Exhibition : “Le Monde sans fin (World without end)”

Alliance Française Trivandrum is delighted to present the “Le Monde sans fin (World without end)” exhibition in Partnership with Institut Français Paris. This exhibition comes from the fruitful and exciting partnership of Jean-Marc Jancovici, a  famous engineer and top-speaker about climate change issues in France, and the artist Blain, one of the most recognised illustrators and comic-artists in France. This exhibition originates from a comic book that  was a success in the publishing world in France. Through scientific data, it will enable you to understand the current situation better and also to feel empowered by actions that can be taken to make this fragile world a better place.

Alliance Française is happy to present the French version, but rest reassured: everything is translated into english for you to fully enjoy the experience.

VENUE: Alliance Française De Trivandrum

Our Partner Organization :

Save Wetlands International Movement (SWIM)

Save Wetlands International Movement (SWIM) emerged in 2016 as a collective initiative propelled by environmental enthusiasts, scientists, and researchers. This movement, rooted in a shared commitment to safeguarding wetlands and their ecological significance, was established to collaboratively address the challenges faced by these critical ecosystems. The founders of SWIM, a group of like-minded individuals hailing from the class of 1985 at the College of Engineering, Trivandrum, united with the purpose of working alongside governmental bodies to protect wetlands, wildlife, and the multitude of services that nature bestows upon both humans and animals alike.
