‘From PAIN to PAINT’: A one day exhibition of paintings by BINDU-ART-SCHOOL on 15 February, 2014 at Art Gallery, Alliance Française de Trivandrum.
The exhibition will be inaugurated in the presence of Her Highness, Princess of Travancore, Gouri Parvathi Bayi and Mrs. Padma Venkataraman, Social Activist – (Daughter of the former Indian State President) at 5.00pm, 15 February @ Art gallery, Alliance Française de Trivandrum.
The BINDU-ART-SCHOOL uses art to change the lives of people affected by leprosy. By painting pictures and selling them, the students attain financial independence without the discrimination of receiving alms.
The BINDU-ART-SCHOOL was founded by the Austrian Multimedia Artist and Curator Werner Dornik and the Indian Social Activist, Padma Venkataraman (daughter of the former State President R. Venkataraman). Two Schools were opened near Chennai and Sarnath. Exhibitions took place in India, USA, UK, France, Austria, Croatia and Germany.
