La Guerre des Graines will show you the heart of the seeds market. In the near future, farmers might lose the right to plant their own seeds. Behind this appropriation stand five corporations already governing half of the seeds market and looking to spread their stranglehold even further. Through the making of this film the directors went to meet all the actors of this “war”, from environmental activists like Vandana Shiva to corporations and European politicians.

The screening will be followed by an interaction with Clément Montfort, co-director of the documentary
Clément Montfort
After training in Political Science and Cultural Mediation, Clément Montfort turned to journalism and particularly the making of documentary films. Having a keen interest in the visual medium, he works as a head cameraman for several projects. For the last three years, the co-director of ”La guerre des graines” has collaborated with various French TV channels such as Arte, France 2, France 3, France 5. Clément Montfort is also an active member and vice-president of Télélibre.fr, an independent citizens TV channel which is also a school for young journalists.
