The event is organised to mark  Fête de la Musique which is celebrated as the World Music Day. This festival is aimed at bringing music closer to people. In France, on this day, sidewalks, parks, community gardens, stores and more become impromptu musical stages for both amateur and professional musicians to showcase their talents. All concerts and performances are free and open to the public.It also aims at making different genres of music accessible to the public.This is the 31stedition of Fête de la Musique. Fête is held in 450 cities across the globe on the very same day each year – 21 June.
