Alliance française de Trivandrum is celebrating Francophonie with a month long celebration, starting on 16 March.

The French Language and the values of solidarity and dialogues between cultures promoted by the francophonie, are celebrated through a series of events ranging from gastronomy to competitions, with exciting prices to win.

Alliance française de Trivandrum is offering a wholesome French experience with the aim of satisfying various palettes with cooking workshop, drawing and writing competitions, Francophone film festival, a reading session, games, music concerts and more.

These series of events is proudly supported by Oman Air.

16 March, 10.00am-12.00 noon: Cooking Workshop: Francophonie celebration commences with a cooking workshop introducing gastronomic delights from North African Francophone regions.

16 March: Launching Dis-moi dix mots competition. A writing competition open to all speakers of French. A flight to Paris to be won and many exciting prizes. Last date of submission: 4 April.

20 March, 3.00- 4.30pm: LabCitoyen 2013:  All India writing competition organised by the French Embassy in India, the Institut Français in India in collaboration with the network of Alliance Française in India.

20, 21, 22 March, 5.30pm: Francophonie Film Festival: Films from Francophone countries Cambodia, Chad and Belgium. @ Alliance Française de Trivandrum

23 March, 6.30pm: La Caravane Amoureuse & Marc Vella: Musical- Video Spectacle, followed by interaction @ Open Air Auditorium,Vyloppilli Samskriti Bhavan.

27 March, 5.00- 6.00pm:  Reading session:  Presentation on the Francophone writer Aimé Césairefollowed by documentary screening and reading session. @ The library, Alliance Française de Trivandrum

5 April, 10.00 am: Drawing competition @ Alliance Française de Trivandrum

5 April, 4.00 pm: Francophonie Day celebration: A day to celebrate, to play and share the French speaking world. There will be activities and games, to learn and play with French words. It will be followed by prize giving ceremony. 

 7 April, 6.30pm: Jacky and Anaka: Musico-pictoral concert.

13 April, 6.30pm: Ensemble IF: Acoustic world music and video scenography @ Co-Bank Towers
