As part of Fête de la Musique, World Music Day, Alliance Francaise de Trivandrum in association with the Embassy of France in India is pleased to organize a ciné concert: The General by Radiomentale at 6.30pm @ Co-Bank Towers. 

Jean-Yves Leloup, a French DJ will perform to a silent film at this event.

To celebrate Fete de la Musique, Radiomentale aka DJ and sound-artist Jean-Yves Leloup from France will perform to the silent film, The General by Buster Keaton. This famous film is Buster Keaton’s imaginative masterpiece that is generally regarded as one of the greatest of all silent comedies and undoubtedly the best train film ever made. It follows the misadventures of Union spies who have stolen an engineer’s beloved locomotive.

Radiomentale : Since 1992, sound-System influencing on the airwaves, clubs, urban spaces, web, galleries & art centers.

A Radiomentale performance is a live mix drawing on an eclectic range of audio sources, including movie soundtracks, ambient, experimental & electronic music, natural sounds, dialogues, artist soundworks…

Ciné concert will be followed by a DJ evening, with music burning the floor .DJ reminisce and rehash classic tunes, showing you the melodic transformation of past to current music and how they can create something unexpected and magical. And then it is party time.
